Crafted for the off-roading enthusiasts, based on the incredible Polo hatchback and belonging to the celebrated clan of cars from Germany, Volkswagen, that is known for the superb quality that reflects off each and every niche of its member rides, it is the fascinating Volkswagen CrossPolo that is, most probably, going to be out on the Indian roads (and on every other possible terrain in the country) by the time the final quarter of 2013 sets in. Strong and sturdy, not just in looks, but also in build, the soon-to-arrive Polo-inspired crossover will be flaunting an exceedingly sporty set of 17-inch alloy wheels, housed in large wheel arches that will be outlined with black plastic moulded extensions just like the bumpers and the side sills. Accentuating the sporty and aggressive nature of the five-door ride will be a pair of silver-coated roof-rails that can be used to tie up about 75kg of luggage on the car's roof, the tough plastic guards that protect the car's body from accidental damage, the 215/40 tyres that surround the 5-spoke alloys and the increment of 15mm in the overall height of the vehicle in comparison to the current model of Polo that adds more character to its off-roader persona.

The rear end of CrossPolo, too, boasts of an all-terrain personality, featuring a black plastic-bordered bumper that blends excellently with the overall theme, a silver-stroked diffuser in the centre and, if rumours are to be believed, even an old-school-SUV-characteristic spare wheel mounted on the tail gate, in which case the spare wheel socket present under the rear-end floor could be utilized for accommodating a CNG tank (that is, if the speculations about the possible CNG option turn out to be true). Speaking of rear end, the trunk space that Volkswagen CrossPolo supplies is a good amount of 280 litres, which can be enhanced to a staggering 952 litres by folding away the 60:40 configured second row of seats. To keep the luggage secure in that voluminous boot, Volkswagen provides four tie-down eyes to buckle the baggages up along with two side-mounted hooks to keep them in their position. That was about the arrangements made available after the luggage enters the car. For putting it all up in the trunk with complete ease, the car provides a dual cargo floor that can be adjusted to two different heights to create a convenient loading plane. While the petrol variants are expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre mill that is soon going to be seen in the Polo line-up also, the oil-burners are the ones that are being anticipated to be the first ones to receive the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine of the company in India. Loaded with all these tools, technologies and gadgetries, Volkswagen CrossPolo will be competing against one of the most successful cars of 2012, Renault Duster.

This Volkswagen CrossPolo crossover is expected to come with performance-packed petrol and diesel drive trains. The power packed petrol mill is said to deliver appropriate power and torque outputs and will be equipped with a TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) fuel supply system, which will further enhance the fuel efficiency of this crossover. There are reports that this 1.2-litre petrol engine is capable of returning a healthy mileage of 18.1kmpl, which is rather impressive for the Indian road conditions. The diesel trims are expected to house a 1.5-litre diesel mill, however, no specific details have been provided so far for this engine.

The exteriors of this superb Volkswagen CrossPolo have been given an elegant design along with some very exciting and arresting features. The company designers have put in a lot of effort, which shows in the silhouette of this sleek crossover. The front fascia of this Volkswagen CrossPolo has a compactly designed radiator grille, sporting a thick horizontal slat, finished in chrome. There is also a prominent VW badge embedded in the centre of this grille. This radiator grille is flanked by a bright and radiant headlight cluster that comes integrated with high intensity halogen lamps. This headlight cluster is also said to be equipped with standard day time running lights, which add to the urbane styling of this Volkswagen CrossPolo crossover. Below this entire setting lies the body-coloured front bumper that has been neatly designed and features a wide, honey comb styled, perforated, black matte coloured air dam, which helps in cooling the engine faster. Volkswagen CrossPolo also gets a scruff plate that is done up in a dull silver finish to add to the looks of this crossover. The other distinctive feature is the set of silver anodized roof rails on the top, which are making this crossover look sporty. These roof rails are not there just for decorative purposes but can also take on luggage of up to 75kgs and come as an added benefit to the buyers. The roof of this car also gets an antenna mounted for better reception of FM Radio, thereby, enhancing the in-cabin quotient for the passengers. The rear end is lean and has a large wind screen that is expected to get a defogger and also be equipped with a rear wiper along with a wash function as well. The tail lamp cluster is brilliant and a high mounted stop lamp has also been integrated here, adding to the safety aspect of this ride. The rear bumper gets a pair of deflectors and the tail gate can be opened by pressing the large VW logo that is embedded in the centre of the boot lid. This Volkswagen CrossPolo also gets a silver diffuser that adds to its urbane and up market looks.

The company will bring in this crossover in quite a number of vibrant and refreshing exterior paint options for the customers to choose from. All these metallic paint alternatives will certainly be smooth and lustrous making the car look enchanting and awe-inspiring. There is definitely a change in the dimensions of this Volkswagen CrossPolo crossover when compared to the existing hatchback versions, and there is news that this new entrant will have 15mm more height than the current model of Polo.

British luxury car giant, Jaguar is now all set to launch the new F-Type Sports car in India sometime in July. 

Jaguar F-Type is likely to come up with two engine options- a V6 S and the V8 S. The V6 S is a 3.0-litre supercharged powertrain, capable of churning out the maximum power output of 375bhp.

 While the V8 S is a 5.0-litre supercharged petrol mill that produces 490bhp. Both the engines will be mated to an eight-speed transmission gearbox. Jaguar F-Type is the come back car for Jaguar in Sports car segment, as the E-type was the last car rolled out from the factory 38 years ago. W

Bajaj Duke 390 launch in India At Rs 1.8 Lakhs

Bajaj Auto and KTM have launched the much awaited KTM 390 Duke at an attractive price tag of Rs 180,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Mercedes-Benz E-Class launches at Rs. 41.5 lakh in India

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all-new 2014 E-Class in India at Rs. 41.5 lakh  (ex-showroom, Delhi). This has been the company's third successive launch for the buyers, it already launched the new GL-Class SUV and A-Class premium hatchback. While the E200 CGI variant of the E-Class is tagged at Rs. 41.5 lakh, the E250 CDI is priced at Rs. 44.8 lakh. The company has also launched a limited launch edition E250 CDI for Rs. 49.90 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

1500HP Bugatti Veyron is Coming

Before the Veyron replacement arrives, Bugatti is apparently working on a grand finale that will see the hypercar's topspeed increased to 280 mph

 A 1,500 horsepower Bugatti Veyron is reportedly due to launch early next year, if a recent report proves accurate. As it turns out, Bugatti is also in absolutely no rush to get the model production ready, but patience will once again have its virtue as sources claim the car will be "fantasy in terms of its performance." Starting off with the performance specs and technology from the current ultimate Veyron, the Super Sport, Bugatti will introduce more weight saving technologies, specifically carbon fiber, in an effort to shave off around 440 lbs.

 Also expect to see a significant power increase over the Super Sport’s 1,184 hp. The quad turbo W16 engine is apparently capable of an output higher than 1,500 hp by increasing its capacity. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear Bugatti has any intention of using an electric boost system. The new Veyron’s top speed will likely be in the neighborhood of 280 mph while the Super Sport maxes out at 267.82 mph. However, that new top speed will be possible only if the necessary tire technology is available. All told, expect for this new Veyron to sell for around $7.7 million.
